Lots of different ways, but I got mine in through the Puget Sound ProAm.
http://www.bewbc.org/pro-am/ You basically have be an AHA member and have an award winning beer brewed by a commercial brewery. A lot of breweries are having or are involved in a homebrew competitions to select their entries. I don't think it is a requirement though.
