I have a bunch of friends (on here and in "real life") that have beers going to the Pro Am.

Laura and I had talked a little over the last day or two about going cause apparently we will have a pro-am beer there.
Cheers!

Won't be able to make it this year. :( Just started a new job and they won't let me take any vacation time until I have been there for a year. The only way I would be able to make it would be if I win enough in the lottery to retire before then. (Oh well, I can dream. :) )

Stupid question, but how do you get to enter a pro-am beer in the GABF?

Lots of different ways, but I got mine in through the Puget Sound ProAm. http://www.bewbc.org/pro-am/ You basically have be an AHA member and have an award winning beer brewed by a commercial brewery. A lot of breweries are having or are involved in a homebrew competitions to select their entries. I don't think it is a requirement though.
