I looked for them on the list of participating brewers for the Oregon Brewer's Festival, but sadly, no.

well, you may just get lucky, but they do have their IPA in bottle now that you can get to go at the brewery. And if I would remember, I could bring 2 bottles with me and give them to you. Just not sure if they search your bag when you go into the fest.

Diamond Knot IPA

I have to say, Diamond Knot IPA is one of my favorite beers. Being local, I get to drink it often. I am blessed! Hope to see you all at OBF but not sure if I can make it.

The wife and I are heading to Oregon on Sunday to visit my brother and take in the sites then head up to the festival for Saturday and Sunday. It'll be our first trip to the festival and I'm psyched. Since we're from Virginia well get to try alot of beer we can't get here. It be cool to meet some of you guys too. If anybody has any recomendations for stuff to check out in the area let us know. My brother lives in Eugene so we'll be there earlier in the week and have his car to take some road trips.

Well despite my best efforts I'm not going to make it.
I checked out flights return to LAX, and with a couple of nights accommodation on top of that, plus money for the festival it was going to set me back about $1k for 1 1/2 days of a beer festival.
So I'm heading straight to San Diego and hoping to get up to the Lost Abbey Xmas in July party :P

Have fun in Oregon TBN'ers.

I live about 20 minutes north of Eugene. There are several good beer places that you can visit before heading up to Portland. Good places in Eugene would be Ninkasi Brewing. They do not have a formal tasting room but if you show up during working hours, you should be able to get a tasting. There is also Oakshire Brewing. I think that they only do tours on Saturday, but check it out. The Bier Stein is a great bottle shop and cafe. They always have a great rotation draft selection. Rogue has a brewery there too called Eugene City Brewers.

Springfield has a newer brewpub called the Hop Valley. They have solid food and good beer. A bit further out in Corvallis is the brewpub Block 15. Good food and a good selection of beer. Oakridge, which is about 45 minutes from Eugene has a nice Real Ale pub called Brewers Union. All their beers are served from handpump.

Enjoy your trip!
