You are correct short bussers. They mix it at the ale house 1/2 60 min and 1/2 90min so you unlucky sods who don't live near an ale house or the brewery are SOL!

Any idea if they had to change hops going into either the 60 or 90 minute? If so I think they might need to reconsider the type. I might have to go and sample another one, then sample the 60 and 90 by themselves. Rough doing this type of research...

i think the 90-minute is northern brewer single hopped. it has that piney resiny aroma.

i know that if those beers sit around for a while they "die" out. i have a two year old 120 minute that probably sucks ass right now.

Nah ... I make them at home myself. Buy a six pack of 60 Minutes, a four pack of 90 Minutes ... and ... Voila! Eight 75 Minutes and two extra 60 Minutes as palate cleansers!

Now to just stumble off to bed ...

I have had drank both the 60 and 90 in the bottle on tap and from a firkin here in Michigan, wonderful beers. Balanced, drinkable, wonderful boquet. However, I had the 90 in the bottle in NJ and the 60 on tap in NJ in a really busy beer bar and was very disappointed in both. Zero floral off of either beers low hop flavor and an off muddy woody character. What gives?

Maybe the place you had them in NJ had dirty tap lines, or the beer sat too long. Just a thought.

Might want to let DFH know so they have an idea of the differences in the product from place to place.
