Duinen Dubbel

750 ml white painted corked & caged bottle. No freshness date seen anywhere. Cork gave me a fit to get out. Had to use pliers. Poured out a murky, reddish brown color, with a decent if short lived tan head. Slid back to a yeasty island on top of the beer. Aromas of toffee, caramel, and malts. Slight spicy note of hops also. Tastes of burnt sugar, sharp alcohol, and slight hops in the background. Finished spicy, and slightly dry. Sort of a thin mouthfeel to it, but tasty all the same.
