dark lord day anyone?

i'll be there. i found a hotel that's like 10 minutes away in schererville i think. amerihost inn. i stayed there 2 years ago, it's serviceable. the hampton inn is the close one but it's booked. i was there last year and it was nice, although the details are kind of fuzzy.

anyway, this is a great even in not-so-beautiful munster indiana, i've been two years in a row now. last year was a little too crowded for me but i heard they're taking steps to make it a better experience. hopefully no half-mile long lines.

anyway, keep your eye out for a guy with brown hair, an average build and average height. i'll be wearing a shirt, pants and shoes. if you see that guy, that'll be me!

Me and my roommates will be there. We will probably be bringing a keg of homebrew but it sounds like there will be alot of good brewerys there so maybe not.
on tap: horse feed oatmeal stout, brown porter, honey pale.

In Reserve: oaked imperial amber, dopplebock, imperial IPA,baltic porter.

In fermentors: Imperial stout, APA, brown porter, american brown ale, belgian pale.

gruuuuubbbbbssss.... bring the homebrew! i'll bring some for sure. i'll probably bring a corney and a bunch of large format bottles of stuff.

and dark lord day is just three floyds. they might have some guest beers on tap but this thing is all about the dark lord. although it seems there's alot of beer trading and stuff going on in the parking lot which is pretty cool. last year i tried all kinds of stuff i've never seen sold in the midwest.

Many of us locals will be brewing just for the event so no one needs to go out of their way to bring kegged homebrew. If you wanted to bring some 22's to share that would be great. That would insure that you've got room in your luggage for beer going back.

You know what we ought to do is all of us brew the exact same recipe and have a tasting or even a competition as part of the pre-party homebrew segment at Downtown Joe's.
