Yeah, when I bucket-brewed it was all extract. And a larger batch size. I wouldn't be at all surprises if either or both of those effected when the yeast dropped out (usually within the first five days, which is when I dry-hopped). I definitely didn't want to disturb the layer of stuff on top of the brew, so I'll leave it alone for a few more days. Thanks for all the advice! I really appreciate the time everyone spends helping eachother out on here.

If you wanted to speed it up, you could raise the temperature a few degrees. If you have that capability.

I'm of the "brew enough batches so you get to the point where you have so many full fermenters that your laziness factor kicks in because you don't even FEEL like fucking with yet another one so you leave it alone" method.
In other words, you should be saying "Fuck - I have to rack YET ANOTHER one? Damn."

I would, but I'm too broke to buy another carboy, and my all grain brews are too small to stick in a bucket. And I REAALLLYYY don't want to waste my time on another overpriced extract brew.

I got a couple 2 gallon buckets from my LHBS. I had to punch airlock holes in the lids, but I think they were $4 a piece.

Damn. I think it costs almost $4 for just the lid here. Haven't bought a bucket in years, but I think it was about $18 for bucket, spigot & lid.
