Need to clarify a beer ASAP!

Thu Apr 14, 2011 9:00 am

Need to bottle a beer tomorrow. Forgot the whirfloc in the boil. The beer is extremely cloudy. I have cut a dip tube short to draw from the middle of the keg when bottling but are there any additives I can add to the keg today to help clear the beer in 24-30 hours? Thanks.

Can the biofine be added to the keg?

Gelatin should work. Maybe an inline filter? Filter from one keg to another. I havent tried it, but hey, ya never know, right?
Good luck :jnj

OK, just added Biofine and am crash cooling. We'll see how it turns out. Thanks.

Too late now, but for the record, gelatin is a goddam miracle worker. I used it for the first time on my last beer and it went from super cloudy to commercial beer clear in 48 hours. I had no idea something so simple could be so effective.

I've tried isinglass, super-kleer KC finings and biofine clear before using gelatin. Nothing beats gelatin. Sparkling beer in a week.
