Red Chair Pale Ale

This is a "North west pale ale" put out by Deschutes. Excellent version of a late hop addition ale IMHO. Not sure if the NWPA catagory will stick or not but I'd definetly recomend picking up a six pack if you can. Here is their discription. http://www.deschutesbrewery.com/blog/20 ... et-series/

Wayne & I picked up a 6'r of this for a brew day a while back. I remember it being a bit on the assertive side as far as bitterness goes and almost too citrus-y without complexity/balance within the hop bill. All in all, it wasn't a bad beer and even if I wouldn't pay for another 6'r if other options were available, I would graciously accept a bottle if someone else brought some to a gathering.

That's a link to the Red Chair IPA, which is one of my favorite IPAs. Leave me on a desert island with an unlimited supply of Union Jack and Red Chair and I'm happy.

Never had the pale ale, but will have to look for it.
