Anyone filter the CO2 in their system?

Saw this on the Micromatic website. Never heard it mentioned on the BN before - any home brewers out there filter the CO2 before it is sent to the keg?

i find you only need to purges when a regulator is taken off, and make sure you have check valves to keep the beer out of the lines. in my opinion you have a greater chance by far contracting aids than getting a tank with crud in it... say you have a steel tank and trade it in. theres rust inside that isn't dealt with. it will clog/destroy the baffle in the regulator only if the tank is upside down. but that will "go liquid" which no compressed gas should ever do for safety reasons. as far as bacteria in that same tank when it got filled, ive not heard of any that can survive anaerobicaly and without any food source.

I was just going to say - It would take a bad ass bacteria to live in a CO2 bottle

Wouldn't want to mess with that guy
