Fridge Drilling Advice

Thu Jul 09, 2009 3:22 am

Getting ready to drill the door on my fridge for faucets. The plan is 4 faucets and I am thinking of mounting them thru a 1x4 piece of stained & poly'd wood. Any suggestions on how far apart the faucets need to be? Any "lessons learned" out there?

Thanks.

If you are going to mount a drip tray under the faucets, make sure the two end faucets will both be able to drip into the tray at the same time. I forgot to do that and my drip tray is about an inch too short. Other than that it doesn't really make a difference. Just put them far enough apart so that you don't bump one while pouring from another.

And if you need a drip tray, when I was at More Beer (Concord, CA) they had several sitting on their bargain rack; you should give them a call and do it up right. And if you need the correct sized slug buster, I would be willing to lend it to you.

Agree with Boog. Divide the width of your drip tray by the amount of faucets.

Thnx...I guarantee I would have bought a 13" tray and had 2 taps dripping just over the edge...you think JP would have any scoop on the drip trays? I'd gladly order and wait for a good deal. I was pricing them on micromatic and have not pulled the trigger yet.
