Tasty Longshot Double IPA

Thu Apr 09, 2009 5:58 pm

According to the trade magazine "The New Brewer" Tasty's beer should be hitting the shelves very soon, if not already.

I think this might be the first reviews:

Congrats Tasty and I hope some make it out to Hawaii!

I asked the local Liquor store owner if she could get Long Shot, so she called the distributor. They told her no. Wouldn't happen. Impossible. Looks like I will have to make a trip to Austin or San Antonio if I want some. . .

The Longshot sixpack is on liquor store shelves in the central states and will spread to both coasts by the end of next week. HI and AK much later. It's an advance ordered one-time distribution so an area will only have as much as their distributor thought they could sell. Those numbers are generally based on last years sales so given the Pliney connection, hop shortage hype, and quality of the beers, it's looking like this year's sixpack is going to sell out pretty quick.

Hey Tasty,
Where will us Bay Area guys be able to find the six pack? More specifically in Berkeley or SF?
Thanks

Tasty, do you know what the ABV is on the version of yours they did? The reason I ask is if it is over 5% and anything else in the pack is under 5% then it will never make it anywhere in Tennessee

The beer is scheduled to arrive at bay area distributors early next week. It will be at all BevMos and most liquor stores. I assume that would include Ledgers in Berkeley but I'd call first. Craig at City Beer Store in SF asked if he could get some and I've arranged for that to happen. Alex and I will be pouring at a couple of the local BevMos (4-7PM on 4/17 in Walnut Creek, on 4/24 in Livermore.)
