Jeezus Phucking Kee-rhyst!

Thu Jan 15, 2009 6:59 pm

How many Plinys have I had in my life? I dunno, but it's a few. But it never ceases to amaze me. Just poured one- the shocking clarity, the beautiful, thick off-white head, the huge hoppy nose and, of course, the big hop bitterness that grabs you by the throat. Just an amazing friggin' beer. Holy crap.

my regular has pliny on tap nearly every day they're open. Occasionally it's off because they're waiting for the next shipment, but I can pretty much have it any day of the week....I've probably had hundreds, if not thousands of them

Yes, but have you ever had it on draught at home?

That's what I thought.

I'm still a RR virgin. Which should be my first? BadRock says I should hold out and pop my RR cherry in June.

p.s. What is SNCA on tap you speak of - guessing Sierra Nevada Xmas Ale?

it's probably sierra nevada celebration ale...if so, I'm insanely jealous!

and I have not had pliny of draught at my home, but I have had it on draught at a well connected friend's home. He's well connected.

Actually I've never had Pliny out of the bottle...that needs to change

It is the Celebration Ale. I had one to wash down the two Plinys I had. :P

That good to hear. I was hoping it's not some keg of beer you found stuck on the bottom of someone's boat or floating in the harbor.
