I love Short's! Joe is one of the most creative brewers I know of these days. Talk about fearless; he'll brew with anything. I recently hosted a tasting at my house where we had all 13 of the Imperial Beer Series (in the order released) as well as all of the anniversary beers. Awesome night for sure. I love the Imperial Spruce Pilsner. It's like a Christmas tree in a glass.

I 2nd that motion. I liked that pilsner too. I also really liked the "Woodmaster?" I think it was called that was brewed with pecans and maple syrup. That was some tasty shit.

Glad to see the BN representing at the Pro-Am. :bnarmy:

I have the same situation going on. I have a Belgian Golden Strong Ale called "12" (because it was the 12th anniversary beer for Flossmoor station Brewery) in the Pro Am comp but I couldn't afford to make it out this year. I'm stoked that the crew is putting this streaming video on the web so we can at least watch it from our work desks or couches. I'm gonna make it next year hell or high water. :bnarmy:

I feel you brother! Good luck...and to all the BN'ers at the GABF, have a pint of Brichards' "12" ale and my "Goat Roper" since we cannot be there.

yep yep. I had a great tiime. :D one of the most fun things though was actually talking to the fellow board members here and the bn radio guys in person. of course the beer is great too! I was surprised at most of the lines. it was pretty quick to get a beer. lost abbey russian river and new glarus were the longest I stood in and that was only 5 minutes max.

Man, it is so fun. You guys are making me miss it damnit! Lines do move fast. How long did it take for you pallet to be blown and realize that you might as well just drink big beers and hoppy beers. I tried some lighter ales later in the session and it was a waste, they tasted like water.

Good times. I could realistically sit at Falling Rock all day everyday the whole weekend and be just as happy though. They have some great beers roll through there.
