Jamil stole them, and is working on having them copyrighted.

I've got the entire BN Archive converted to m4b (apple itunes proprietary bookmarkable format) if the network ever wants to make them available for download or for any other reason. I was going to offer to send a copy to anyone that wanted them but then I saw it was about 6GB worth, which I'm afraid isn't very practical to do more than once. Let me know if it would ever be of any use (although last I heard the mantra was "We make them available in one format and one format only... decide what you want).

Happy Brewing!

well done Jon, good work

and for everyone else, remember this, TBN is a live streaming radio programme, not a pod cast, im sure J mentioned this before, its not so easy to do a live show, edit and put up for podcast, it takes time and $$$$ and its a extra free service, remember this, 20,000 people downloading 60-70 mb per show, must cost a friggen fortune when you add it up

Im not joking now, im getting really pissed of with people complaining about getting a freee service, and not getting it fast enough......stop ya whining, it will come eventually....what was it....2 months before the first archives were available?????//and people ar whining about waiting a day or so....

as far as the Itunes.....im sure it was a week or so ago someone mentioned there was a problem with itunes......well i tell ya what , if you have ever tried to put anything up on itunes you will know, its a absolute pain in the ass.......if you realy want instant archives get Radio ripper and do it yaself

so

be paitant, stop ya whining, and dont forget to hit the donate button to help with bandwidth

Isn't Bittorrent good at this sort of thing? That would let these big archive files get served out with no stress on TBN servers or bandwidth.

I am with Oz on this issue.

Rant on!

I am fucking sick and tired of seeing the same post about "when the f is the archive posting?" and "fucking wah I want the show on iTunes" It sure as hell does take time, patience and money to do all the website, shows, and the downloads. I have experienced a extremely small bit of expense of downloading when I put up a link to an audio track of Dr. Scott. Of course everybody dl'd it and my "free space" was blocked. I bought some bandwidth so that everyone could dl the stupid track, and got a small window into what it costs for such activity. Have any of you itunes users bothered to donate to TBN, I dare say that I fucking doubt it. If TBN had a $1 for every bitch fit, complaint, and whine session concerning the archive, scheduler, or iTunes this shit could have been done and payed for long ago. It is up to you the homebrew community, to support the TBN and others like it NOT cry about little details that havent been addressed to accomodate your exceedingly sackless sniveling.

Rant done.

Cheers,
HH

Add my vote. What's wrong with downloading the archive, importing to your iTunes library, the loading it to the iPod. If you have a computer and an Ipod, learn to operate them.

Or for a "small fee" you can send my your iPods and I wil load the shows on it for you. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for delivery.

Lufah even once offered to burn the shows to cd's for dial up users. What more do you want?

I have no problem downloading the archive and importing it into itunes. I also was just cracking a joke ( hence the reason I put the smily face) I know it was mentioned a week ago on the show that the itunes feed would be up soon. One thing itunes does is bring in new users that are searching for podcasts, that may not have found the jamil show before or lunchmeat. More users does bring in more posiblities for donations. I've donated to the BN and will do so again in the future. I have no problem donating/paying for something that I enjoy.

Alright the lot of you high and mighty people that are sick of this kind of post I got an idea. Don't fucking read them. Some people haven't been here the whole time to know what the deal with the archives getting posted and podcast and all that shit is. Maybe this guy is a new listener and had no idea that the question has been asked and address several times. I'm goinig to ask Justin to write a post and stick it to the top of this forum addressing this stuff.

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.
