Butchered an IPA it tastes like grain before fermentation
6lbs Pilsen LME
1.5lbs Light DME
24oz carapils this was an error wanted to add 16oz
8oz crystal 120 also an error wanted to add 2oz
8oz Simpson’s caramalt
1oz Nugget 11%AA @ 60 min
1oz Glacier 6% AA @ 20 min
1oz Mt. Hood 6% AA @ 15 min
1oz Cascade 5.5% AA @10 min
1oz Cascade 5.5% AA @ Flame out
Post boil gravity 1.062
I have hopes of the WL001 cleaning up some of my mess and I will say I got great bitterness not adding the extract until 20 minutes from flame out but this wort tasted like super sweet grain and I have to say I am concerned and I have thought of brewing a light beer like a blonde ale and blending before I bottle or should I suck it up and wait till the fermentation is done and see what I have?
