Stuck in LA

Mon Mar 10, 2008 12:59 pm

Hey,
My name is Philip and I am stuck in Louisiana for work for the next year and a half. Been brewing for a little under a year now and expect that this habit will be the one to get me through this hard time.... Enjoy the program and looking forward to asking some really stupid questions in the forum. Spent the first 9 months of 2007 getting spoiled living in Michigan drinking Bell's and Arcadia Brewing Company's beers so coming to LA has really hurt, not being able to pick up stellar microbrew at the local grocery store or go to the local brewpub and pick up really good beer (at this point I settle for not stale!).

Welcome.

There are worse places to be stuck than Louisiana...

Anyway, welcome to the forums. Plenty of brewing knowledge to tap in to.

You could be stuck in Alaska. Although I did find a kick ass liquor store this weekend and stocked up.

Welcome to the insanity.

I was stuck in LA for four months. It was 118 for like 2 weeks. Add in the smog, traffic, vapid chics with fake boobs and a complete lack of IPA. Eventually I came to my senses and moved back the bay area.

So basically the only difference is that now the temperature is a little cooler, and you have IPA???

not the only difference... there are smart chics, IPA everywhere and I don't have to drive.
