Allow myself to introduce... uh... myself.

Thought my first post should be a hello...
I've been listening to the BN for a couple of months now and been browsing the forums trying to wrap my head around all the great info. Like a lot of you, I'm still working my way through the show archives.

Not much brewing history before listening to the BN... I brewed a couple of extract batches in college and only a few times in the 12 years since then. Started back up in late December and brewed a hefeweizen kit from my LHBS. Did Jamil's cal common in January and just brewed his robust porter this past weekend.

Just sent the hefe and cal common off to a local competition for feedback with "the brewing network" as my club. I poked my head in the chat room the other night and got some help with the entry form. Thanks guys.... And Bub, 3068, right? (Next time I'll make a starter.)

So... Hello!
I'm glad I found the show/forum and hope I can contribute.

I knew I would catch some flak with that "headshot".... but it was the most recent picture of me... Not gay, just picking apples with my boys.

The shirt/jacket is covering up the lipstick on my chest.

Crut, I think I'm one of Bub's biggest fans. I'd still be browsing the forums anonymously if I hadn't heard him say "...and you can jam out with your clam out..." to Beevo on one of the archived shows. After hearing this and spitting coffee all over my dash on the way to work the other morning, I knew I had to come join the fun.

I think I remember drinking some bottled water at that point and nearly choking on it and swerving off the road.

Welcome!

Oh, and posting a pic of you with kids doesn't mean you aren't gay (not that there's anything wrong with that). I think Homobrewer recently adopted.. just sayin'.
