I love where I live, just outside of Montreal on the south shore of the St-Lawrence river.

Ah Montreal. I worked up there for a while a couple lives ago for the (get this) Department of Justice (the more you get to know me, the funnier this gets). I fell in love with the city, a little German sausage and bier house, a Russian restuarant with many vodka flavors, and first saw people put cottage cheese on fries! I doubt either of the restuarants are still there but I'm sure y'all still put curds on your fries (poutine, isn't it?)

cottage cheese on fries??????? maybe you went to too many Russian restaurants because I have never seen that in my entire life. But, in your defense, we do eat beaver tails up here...

yeah, Poutine is still ALL OVER and is a great 3am meal after 12-15 beers.

You're right, this is a great place to live. Probably the best place in North Amercia for local brewed Belgian styled beers and awesome food.

I once had a "rendevous" with a French Canadian girl in Montreal... anyway..

All Grain isn't all that hard... check out the "brew in a bag" thread (might be called how to go all grain for less than a case of bud) or something like that. You can get started with that and work your way up from there.
