Wow, only been listening for a couple weeks? You're super fresh meat. Look out for the Bubmonster. He hides in your earphones and launches surprise attacks on your sensibilities when you least expect it. Anyways.. Welcome. You guys have a brewery out there doing all sorts of things with pineapples, coconuts, & mangos, don't you? Justin interviewed them during GABF, I think, very cool people.

Aloha. (That's Hawaiian for everything).

yes - very fresh meat here - kinda screwed up with ths post when I ment to repond to post below.

Love the steal your face icon - I'm a libertairan/conservative business owning Deadhead stuck in the middle of the Pacific (and employing and helping to support 20 or so families directly and many more subcontractors in the process) - so you know I'm a little wacked out. It has been a long, strange trip for me. I went to many Dead concerts (and Jerry Garcia Band gigs) when I lived in the Bay Area for a couple of years at college. Family moved to SO. Cal when I was 7 and I knew I would not get old there - that place was not fo me, so tried Hawaii 20 years ago and never left.

I love individual liberty, the enviroment and hate most forms of socialist government control, especially wealthy elite liberal eco-wacko Hollywood types that want to run your life and make you do what they say (even though it is not what they do themselves - i.e. thinking that driving a Prius to the airport to hop in to your Gulfstream is carbon neutral) (but neither is exhaling, for that matter). The same types drive around here in there 1980 Mercedes tanks with the "Biodeisel" and "No War Required" stickers getting 8 miles per gallon on french fry grease feeling all smug about themselves.

I agree w/Justin that it is stupid to subsidize corn farmers to make fuel from perfectly good food, but he has no clue on running a business when he says because it only takes 20 cents in materials to make a $4.50 glass of beer in a brewpub and the rest is pure profit. Materials are more than malt and hops. Justin obviously has never paid a business rent, workcomp, payroll taxes (and other taxes, fees, and more taxes), medical insurance, electric water and gas bills and several other insurances that you did not even they had, and all the other stuff beside malt and hops that go into making a beer and running any type of business.

I love the show though - have made it through a few episodes and I am hooked.

Brother, you're in good company here. I'm only 25, never had the chance to see Jerry, but you can't argue with that chill that goes down your spine when he launches into a sick Eyes of the World solo. Doesn't get any better..

Uh...wow...welcome to the forum. You know The Brewing Network is a business to Justin. Worker's Comp? Yeah, please listen to the Very Stripper Christmas. Bills? Shit, I've been to the Rat Pad (sic) and our boy has the same respondsibilty, including handling his own PR on a very tight budget. He knows the price of business even though he's a tree hugging, frog licking, far left wacko.

Respectfully, I doubt how business minded a "conservative/libertarium deadhead" can be. Hell, that's a contradiction in terms.

Anyways, this far right military wacko has had a couple of beers after a long trip from the places in the Pacific. Take it for what it's worth, BC.

Oh, that's not true, Gucci. I know several of these types that are very entrepreneurial. They just happen to sell a product that isn't quite legal - except in your very progressive state.... (for medicinal purposes, of course... )

Welcome to the Army brotha.

And just fyi, it was a very succesful brewpub owner that gave me those figures and while I may have exaggerated slightly for comedic affect, they included all costs of running his business. It is true I would not have figured that myself as I do not own or run a brewpub. But I'm not quite as stupid as i make out.

Thanks for playing.
