I've been on the mhbg site but I agree that it has been a bit slow lately.

I just wanted to let all of my fellow michiganders know that that the Delta County United Way will be hosting its second annual UPtoberfest microbrew festival on the 20th of October. I will post this in the events section as well.

Also, lets hope our state government stays out of commission for a while and saves us all some tax money for a couple of weeks.
Prost,

I have noticed that too, I think it'll pick up now that we are getting into cooler temps and people start brewing a bit more.

I just caught this thread... I'm in Frankfort - an hour west of Traverse City. There was a homebrew club trying to get organized and meeting at Short's Brewing in Bellaire. Not sure if it got off the ground...I made it to one meeting but that's a damn far way to drive from Frankfort.

I do believe they are going good, i have not made it to any meetings but hoping to this winter after hunting season has stopped and i get bored again. Glad to see someone else from around the area. I make i down to Frankfort quite a bit for salmon fishing every year. When im down there next we should get together and hit some homebrew. Frankfort needs a microbrewery down there, you should start something up;)
