Hello from SE Michigan! Go Blue!

Sat Aug 04, 2007 8:34 am

I just wanted to drop a line from SE Michigan. I love the show. I've been browsing the achives at about 2-3 shows a day. I work 10 hour shifts at Dearborn Truck Plant, so it helps me catch up with everyone on the show. Thanks for helping my work life go by a little easier. Also, for a show idea: Kegging-getting started, costs, and those little party kegs any good? Thanks and keep up the great work!

Welcome to the BN!

I have pity for you and the 10 hour days, my in-laws work at the Wayne Assembly plant, and this time of year they are pretty irritable. So crack a cold homebrew and enjoy the gayness around here!

Kick ass, Brewjester.

What's your brewing history? What do you like to brew? Bottle or keg? Etc...

My head hasn't exploded, yet. I'm just looking for more information about brewing and having a good time. I've been brewing for 5 years, mostly extract and steeping grains. I did my first partial mash Oktoberfest in late June. I don't brew alot cause of a recent family tragedy. But I also have a friend that brews with me which helps. I've made all Ales until now. My wife's fav is a Vanilla Oatmeal Stout. There's also a Irish Red Ale I made for Superbowl that she really likes. Used Brambling Cross and Fuggles in those. I usually bottle everything, but have been looking into kegging. Maybe getting some 2.5 gallons kegs and couple corneys. But working only 40 hours at Ford don't help either.

With football season around the corner I just wanted to get the Go Blue back to the top of the page.
