At least Elvis, in his current state, wouldn't bring it as weak as Justin does.

Or maybe a T-Shirt...

But, back to the subject...

I think that a chat room, forum, or listener comp would be a good idea. We would need to set a date far enough down the road if folks want to send in lagers.

This sounds like a good idea to me. I think to make it work, though, there'd have to be just one style - probably an ale so everyone could participate. Maybe an ale style and a lager style. More than two styles could overwhelm our poor TBN hosts. Or worse, lead to no competition if everybody chooses a different style to send.

I would not have everybody brew the same recipe, though. I'm participating in a contest like that now on the greenboard, but the goal is to prove that process has more to do with brewing than recipe. We want to see who makes the best beer. So I say we agree on an ale and lager style and use our own best recipes.

I vote for:
IPA (for Justin)
CAP (for Doc)

Question: Would we not want to use the same components in the same volumes with the same yeast pitched the same way etc,.? That to me would be more focused on process. IMHO. WADR

I thnk this is a great idea kids. Keep posting what you think about it in here, and how it should be done...then we'll come up with a final set of rules and some prizes too. this will be Jon and Doc's area so I'll get them thinkin on it a little harder too.
