Brewery Tours- Hales Ales and Dad Watsons

Thu Feb 08, 2007 11:59 am

Montage from my recent trip to Seattle where I got to go behind the scenes at Dad Watsons Brewpub and Hales Ales.

Unfotunately I missed out on a tour of Manny's Ale which was my favorite of all my tastings. They have a great unfiltered pale ale, which is only served ontap in the Seattle area.

Cool footage. McMenamins always has cool paintings on their brew gear. Trippy. Manny's is a solid pale ale. It is made by Georgetown Brewing. They also have a great pilsner called Rogers and a tasty hoppy red ale called Choppers. I've only found the last two in a bar near the brewery. It's the 9lb Hammer.

If anyone else comes to Seattle, let me know and I can point out some cool spots and maybe meet up for drinks and make fun of Justin.
On Tap: Czarface Russian Imp Stout

Nice pics HopGoblin...I've been to Hales many times, but have never seen Doc Watson's set-up.
Did you make it to Maritime just down the road a mile?
They've got several of their beers on cask and they're great!
I enjoy Manny's Pale as well. It's just behind Mac n' Jacks for my favorite local pale.

Cheers,

Rob
