Oh my gawd! That does look like J. I can't tell if it was or not (I was a bit crispy). I don't think it was. There wasn't any pink on his chin or JP hunched up his leg.

I think it would have been a punishment to have J brew with me. JK That would be a fun session J. Bring your StarSan brewing ass out here. It'll be a good time........oh yeah, and we'll brew too.

I do have the burners plumbed up and have made 5 batches (including two 11 gallon batches).

Made the vessels myself, plumbed the gas myself, but the ironwork was my brew buddie. Did a pretty kick ass job, and you bet it's fun and safe to brew on. Really that's the whole reason for the beer tree, the sucker won't topple over and hurt someone. Most dangerous part is the bottom tang ring of the keggles, as they get hot as the Sun. We keep well clear, however, it would be nice to figure out a way to protect touching that...

I'll play. Here's my toy, it's still undergoing evolution.
It's loosely modeled after the B3 1550 (the layout anyway) and built to fit the available space using the vessels that I already had.
The BK is the usual keggle on a propane 65k btu burner, the MLT is a 10 gal cooler with a stainless false bottom and a phil's sparger. The HLT is a 50 liter (13.1 gal) chemical barrel that has a 1500 watt 120 volt element mounted in the rear, it takes a while to heat the sparge water so I start the brewday by heating strike water in the kettle and sparge water in the HLT at the same time. The HLT element and pump (March 809HS) are controlled by toggle switches and temps are monitored by a dual probe digital thermometer.
Future plans include a HERMS coil in the HLT and a Love controller for the element.

The two guys standing around are a couple of friends of mine from my local brew club. The guy on the right has been doing AG for a few years now. The other brewer has only been brewing about 1 year.
