Speyedr kindly pointed out that the B3 no-check-valve shutoff valves I listed in that article actually have check valves in them. Don't buy them for this application or you will be disappointed.

If I can find someone with those valves sans check valve, I will update the article and post.

Looks like B3 makes the whole kit-n-kaboodle, but they may be out of stock. For $40 you can stop all this chasing around for parts and just buy the thing!

For those wanting to build one of these here is the link to the materials list and instructions. These are really handy gadgets to have around, especially if you are trying to quickly force carbonate a keg. It's identical to the one in the Northern Brewer link above. However, if you have to go out and buy all the parts new, it will cost you about the same amount of money plus all the time and gasoline to track down all the pieces. The thing costs about $15-$16 for parts, less if you already have some of them.

Ok bug I am not refering 2 just a keg pressure tester. In the Jan/feb byo they had a thing that you can use on a keg while it is in the late stages of fermenting that automatically vents co2 at a certain level. By doing this you can naturally carb a keg without the darn thing going over presurized if you forget 2 go check it daily. They called this thing a spunding valve it is basically a keg pressure tester but you remove the schrader or needle valve and install a auto release valve like this one. http://www.parker.com/frameless/Default ... =&TypeID=0

Project complete- Spunding valve its just fun to say spunding-spunding- SPUNDING spunding--- what a funny word.
I built a spunding valve for under 10$ from my local small town hardware...works great and I must agree- everyone SHOULD have 1.
I will post pics when I figure out how-Not that anyone cares, but my version allows me to QD a tank in case the pressure falls low. Now if I could figure out how to use the 1 valve to regulate say 4 kegs at the same pressure w/o building 3 more Id be set.
Ill be working on that- but for now I can ferment under pressure which makes me insanely happy-for some strange reason.
And I cant wait to try non-forced carb kegs. As a lazy brewer Im looking forward to just hooking up the tank and faucet and Presto.
Have a great holiday guys...and thanks for the help- Havent even been here a couple weeks and already you got me fabricating and solveing problems.
