Following their Facebook page, looks like the first installment will be about making bacon!

Chip also submitted an application for chop and brew to be a recognized homebrew club in the aha. Some competition for the BN Army perhaps?

Turmoil? Not so sure about that, this situation isn't a daytime soap opera. Part of running a business is not to have soap opera-style drama in the media limelight. Plus, employees leave companies all the time for X number of reasons. I enjoyed BTV as much as the next guy, but who really cares why they left? Northern Brewer as with most companies isn't obligated nor likely interested in disclosing the who, what, where, why and how their employees move on with their careers outside the company. I'm amazed this thread is still going.

I just hung out with one of the BTV guys a few weeks ago. Simple answer, they have moved on to do different things outside the company. Still cool guys and still very present in the Twin Cities brew scene. Stay above the "drama" and don't waste time and sleep looking for some epic event that happened at Northern Brewer that upset the balance in the universe. Even if you did learn what happened, would you really care about it after about a week or a month?

You can't expect everyone wants to work in a homebrew shop for the rest of their life.

I worked at a homebrew shop for a day, crushing grains and packing boxes. It doesn't really make you feel like a brewer, more like working at UPS. And the malt dust stays in your nose for a couple of days.

We make people crush their own. Then again, we aren't doing online or shipping sales.

Is that because you're lazy or because there might be an unannounced Lunch Meet?
