Trip to Germany

Thu Nov 08, 2012 1:59 pm

Hi everyone,
I'm taking a trip to Germany next summer to visit our families old exchange student that i haven't seen in a few years. We well be staying around her home in Cologne the first week, but I'm trying to think of where to go for the second week. I was thinking about the Munich area and maybe a day in Berlin. I also wanted so get the BN's input since i know many of you have been to Germany several times.

Cheers

Hey, if you're flying out of Manchester I can meet you there and you can pack me into one of your suitcases ;)

Have a great time. We need to go to Ireland someday to spread my mother-in-laws ashes and I want to take a couple weeks to go to Germany and Belgium.

The pubs and beer gardens around Bamberg are great. Had a great time at Schlenkerla.

Beer gardens and tap houses in Munich are great also. We especially like the Augustiner beer garden and tap house. Also the Gaststätte Nürnberger Bratwurst Glöckl am Dom near the Marienplatz was awesome.

From Munich, day trips out to Kloster Andechs and Aying (Liebhardts, Ayinger) are a must see.
