I think we should have an absentee vote (cause there's a lot of us who just aren't all there) if we should let Whitebeard back in. I'm withholding my vote until the bribes... err... kegs show up.

Sorry you had such an unpleasant club experience.... how long had you been involved in that one?

Wow. Just Wow.

I've heard about clubs with guys on power trips like that.

I founded my club 5 or 6 years ago with 2 other guys, all of us are still active.
We have about 25 or so members, of which about 15 are very active, only about 3 or 4 are "once year" types. We have 12 BJCP judges in that mix, too, so it's not like we are a bunch of slackers (well, we are slackers, but in a good way).

We have no dues. We have no rules, or charter, or officers, or anything. We have a free yahoo group email list, and we meet once a month at the Snoqualmie Falls brew pub. Otherwise, nobody gets their panties in a wad over anything.

I'd much rather be in a club like that than in one where you have to invoke Roberts' rules of order just to get an opinion.

Member since their second meeting, over 3 years ago, never missed a meeting until this past Friday, attended every event they went to, or sent beer if I couldn't make it, which was once. Recruited over 6 new members, most of the club.....

BDawg....that's what we are planning to do with this one....and yes, Roberts Rules are what they LIVED by......I say.....FUCK all that noise!

Just drink!
