Re: Monday only schedule?

Sunday night worked about as well for me as a Monday so in my opinion, whatever works best for the people putting on the show is fine with me. I've tried hitting a few Sunday nights but family life usually interferes. There is that, and I work Monday morning. If everyone is being selfish and wanting the BN to fit their schedule instead of the schedule of the brewcasters, let's toss in a Friday or Saturday night that works best for me. We'll call it the Social Session :drink

Monday only show schedule sucks balls, I think General Justin is trying to piss me off

First he moves the studio even further into the sticks, even further from public transport, and now more Monday shows? I'm in the minority here though! I guess it's only me and Beevo who are stuck with day jobs, and as she was lamenting during yesterday's show, driving to Martinez on Monday afternoon any time between 3-7PM is a disaster. Not to mention the studio is a 60 mile detour from my fine employer which happens to be on the other side of the bay area. Thankfully the Monday shows start an hour later, so that helps a bit.

OK, I got that out. Whine whine whine.

So don't stop those donations folks, every little bit helps.

So, being in the thick of it, what is the thought process here. A bunch of poeple are guessing but no one really knows. Making things more difficult for those who make the show what it is doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The studio looks awesome but if it is so far away from those that matter....what up?

I've lurked and listened for a long time, and the network has made a difference to me and my brewing, don't want to see that change!

To be fair, I was partially just giving Justin a hard time in the previous post, BN-style.

The Monday shows work out better for just about everyone else on staff, so I'm definitely in the minority there. I'm pretty sure this also includes Doc. I can speculate that even if I'm not as able to make it as often on Monday, that will mean more opportunities for Doc to join the show instead. And Doc rules, so that's a good thing for both the BN and the listeners.

If it's better for the majority of the staff, and it does seem like it is, we can expect more Monday shows in the future. Happier brewcasters = better content & delivery.. (And/or more juvenile humor)

...did kinda think you must've been taken the piss out of Justin! It sucks being in the minority sometimes, but as has been said, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.
I think all of you do a great job, thanks for that...and look forward to more brilliant content!

Being a podcast-only listener, it doesn't really bother me personally when the shows are done.
However, Nate's posts were a reminder that the show is put on largely by volunteers, who have given hours and hours of their time to listeners over the years. If a few more Mondays makes it easier for them to keep doing that, then so be it. It's a much better alternative than them all having to give it away entirely (and lose the session altogether).

That said, I don't want to have less Nate on the session, I want more! Maybe he could start doing brew strong when Jamil is too busy?

Seven plus years of this show and he's just figuring this stuff out now? Pretty lame.

Yes Doc rules but don't you fucking dare sell yourself short! You are an unbelievable asset to the BN.

I was busy butchering a few deer last Sunday, so I didn't chime in until you guys went off air. Was pretty turned off to a 3 hour show. Seems the chat was just as worked up. Doesn't seem like the Brewcastersâ„¢ are into it these days. It's gone the course from passion to burden. I certainly haven't had as much fun listening in 2012 as I did in 2011.

If you take what I post here literally, you're retarded. I'm here to fuck around, have a good time, and learn about beer. You mean nothing to me and I mean nothing to you.

...maybe it is the season, maybe it's all the stuff that has been going on, but it does seem like the passion has waned. There was an excitement in the past years that doesn't seem to be there as much.
Still, that's not to take away from the great job that everyone has done. JMHO
