Fat Head's and other NE Ohio beer destinations

I remember loving the descriptions the brew crew gave about Fat Head's when they visited the Cleveland Beer Festival a while ago. Turns out, I am going to be going to Ohio after Christmas, so I was looking for some recommendations. What was the one beer at Fat Head's that everyone was gushing about? What is a good meal to get there?

Any other good beer destinations in/around Cleveland, Wadsworth, and Canton? I already have Great Lakes on my list too.

Hoppin Frog, Fred is a cool guy and worth checking out, very easy to get to as well.

Great Lakes is definitely worth it, and there are some other brewpubs opening in Cleveland that I haven't had a chance to get to yet. Andrew Tveekrem is running one, I think. He used to be pretty high up the chain at Dogfish. I'd check them all out if you have the time.

If you by any chance get down to SE Ohio check out Jackie O's. The head brewer, Brad Clark, is making some very tasty and adventurous beers. I am going to be working there starting this spring. He is going to be taking over running the new production facility and I will be running the brewpub!

Well, I got to get to Great Lakes, which was fantastic, and ChopHouse in Cleveland. ChopHouse was nice, nothing special but their Doppelbock was excellent, as well as the beef carppaccio.

When leaving Ohio, we took a 4-hour detour to visit Rockmill, right outside Columbus. This was the highlight of the trip. Matthew Barbee was an excellent host, he gave us a tour and invited us into his "tasting room" (read: home) for cheese and chocolate pairings with his beer. His Saison is by far the best I've had, and his brewing water naturally resembles that of Wallonia, which makes it even better.

I HIGHLY recommend a visit to Rockmill, Matt is very hospitable and as long as you shoot him an email before coming (as it is his home), he's glad to show you around.

I'll definitely check out Rockmill when I get back to Ohio. They are a Nano right? Looks very interesting, I love saisons.

He's using a 1 bbl system, so I would say Nano is about right. The quality he turns out is outstanding.
