Burning up some vacation time and doing a double-brew day. Just mashed in a wit and will be doing a stout this afternoon. We'll see how I can pull off going from white to black today.

Bottling an imperialish version of JBA and using carb tabs since my volume didn't come out to 5 gallons (hence the imperialish). I was nearly done when I dumped the sack of carb tabs all over the floor. Sigh. Now I'm drinking JBA from the bottling bucket. I hit it with gelatin, so it's beautifully clear and delicious. My first all grain batch w/ new mashtun is deemed a success!

Brewed up a 10 gallon robust porter extract batch last night. Pretty momentous for me because this is my first brew in about three years! I'm itching to dig out my all-grain rig and get down to business.

Just finished doughing in for a malty munich helles. Giving the "no sparge" technique a try for this one. Will use the built up yeast for huge Dopplebock in about 3 wks! I always look forward to the colder weather which makes chilling much easier....
