Beat the douchebag to the ground, pay the rent on the beer you've had all over his expensive suit and then get down in his face and say, "How ya like beer now, bee-otch?"

Spend the night in jail and get 86'd from a local beer bar! Excellent choice.

I'd have to agree with the folks pointing out that a$$holes abound, no matter what they drink. I'd be no more inclined to try to convince a 'snooty wine drinker' than I would 'an innocent and disinterested BMC drinker'. I know plenty of both that don't take themselves to seriously on the subject and we get along just fine.

The owner of Ebenezers said something about this in the De Struisse episode. Basically that you can have one of the best beers on the planet for less than $20 a bottle. The best wine is going to cost at least 10x as much. I love beer. :aaron

Wine....The other fermented beverage.

And yes, I would have politely and respectfully asked for a wine that went well with sprite. Because 2 wrongs sometimes makes a right

I've always been passionate about wine, that changed some since taking up brewing but I still love my wine. I have noticed that the wine world is full of snobs. They poop poop anything that is not in their established comfort zone I guess it makes them feel superior or something. Love going to a wine tasting listening to that loud guy (there is always one) going off like anyone cares. Whether they refuse to try certain types of wine or just want to hate on beer, I just figure it's their loss and generally that makes more for me! :jnj

I guess it is a closed mindedness that I just don't get. You would think that sophisticated wine drinkers would deeply enjoy exploring beer... I mean, beer has such a wide flavor profile that one person will never be able to taste it all.

I was talking to the store owner about this story, and he told me that some wine drinkers are a real pain in his ass. One customer of his won't buy anything unless it is cabernet, another guy won't buy anything under $10 because it is too cheap, or over $15 because it is too expensive. I guess some people are just not worth the effort to try and spread the love of beer. It's a shame, but it's their loss.

Thanks for letting me get this off of my chest. :)

Man, I had an exgirlfriend that used to say that. She was from South Carolina and you are the first person I have heard say that in 15 years :jnj
