Need craft beer bars in L.A.

I have a friend of mine who will be visting Los Angels has asked me for a recomendation or two for a few good bars to get local beer. Any suggestions are grealtly appreciated.
Alos need a place in Santa Barbara as well.

Just had the chance to visit Rock and Brews in El Segundo last week - nice selection and it's relatively close to LAX where I was flying out.
