I'd like to see it in KC in x years where 5<x<10. What I like doesn't matter unless I can find another ten people that are motivated, responsible, and want the same thing. I'm working on that though.

I've heard people in St. Louis talk about putting a committee together. Both have good and growing local beer scenes (St. Louis is stronger here), both are cheap to fly to, both have affordable conference facilities, both are within driving distance of a lot of people.

Hmmm, first I've heard of this. Not that that really means anything. I suspect we could get enough people between KC and STL to pull one of these off in either place.

It seems like it will be in Philly sometime soon?

Fact is, it will go to the places that put together a good bid. If those happen to all be on the West Coast, the West Coast deserves to get it every year.

We've been kicking it around with our club (GBS) and would need all of the other local and regional clubs' help to really pull it together.

I'm so bummed out. I thought Philly was a sure thing for 2012. The West coast will be out (again) for me next year. I do understand that location has to go to the club(s) that steps up to the plate and makes the best offer, so I don't have any ill will about it, just disappointment.

If any of the Philly clubs out there are trying for something in the future, PM me and our club will try its best to help.
