This is a good list, but I was thinking more along the lines of great West Coast beers that I might pick up at a bottle shop

Pliny
Firestone Walker
Lagunitas
etc.

Other thoughts?

No offense intended, but you are missing the point of west coast beer, by focusing on bottle shops. Sure you can check off some great brands in the box, in a bottle shop; no question. But you'll miss all of the great fresh beer, on tap.

In those terms 99 bottles, Malt and Vine, Belmont Station, and John's Marketplace will cover all your needs. But let's be honest.....you don't even need to leave CVG to get the same items, just order them online.

Find some local brewery's or pubs, etc. Experience the HOPS, and Cascade Dark Ale!

Look at it this way, you can get 4 way chili by combining cans of spaghetti, chili, etc....but is it the same as when you go to Dixie Chili, Empress Chili, or your local favorite?

Yes, yes, I'll bask in the glow of fresh west coast beer and drink from the fountain of local brew pubs...but will also stock up on some beers I can't get in Ohio...

Alaskan Smoked Porter
Maui Brewing Coconut Porter
Big Sky Moose Drool
New Belgium LaFolie
Firestone Walker Union Jack
Lagunitas Hop Stoopid
Russian River Pliney

I would just go to Belmont Station and ask what's local and great. There is a ton of beer from Portland / Oregon that is really good and never even makes it out of the state. If you have a chance to stop by some of the Portland pubs and beer bars, you will find out who you want to buy bottles from. It might be a lot of hard work but I'm sure you can manage!
