Cool. I will try to get some dry hop chacter in it and probably enter that one for NHC. If I remember, I will post some judging notes on this thread, to see how it was perceived.
After brewing Obsidian Stout from CYBI, I fell in love with hops in Stouts. What a great improvement over the rather bland flavor of a dry stout. I don't know that I will ever make a dry stout again.
Herbaljoe: I think I commented on one of your beertools recipies about this recently. My handle is dmccrackin. No need to respond. If I am looking for ideas for recipies or ingredients, I often peek at yours. Keep up with the comments on your beers, and I will try to do the same.
I tried dry hopping a pale ale with cascade and columbus, and the split batch with cascade and Simcoe. Lets just say that columbus is off of my "hops to use" list. I did not care for it at all, but the cascade simcoe version was absolutely fantastic!
Brew Strong!
Also, I think Tasty only responded to this thread because I listed Janet's Brown as my "on deck" beer. I am going to have to make it to see what all the fuss is about.
