Knocked out a 45 minute (from scratch to cleanup) extract batch. The Brew Strong episode inspired me to give it another try. Same Munton's brown ale extract kit as my very first brew except this time I added a little Willamette in the hop back, pitched their yeast in the bin and used WL English Ale yeast. Too easy.
just finished an experimental 100% 6 row CAP....cluster for boil, hallertau for 20 and 5 min. 1049 OG. I'm thinking that 6 row gets a bad rap and can be used up to 100% with no off flavors...but the proof will be in the pudding i guess..
