If your drive up to Northern NH takes you through the Manchester area, you may want to see if you can visit White Birch Brewing in Hooksett. Bill was the soft-spoken brewer on the Nano-Brewing session. Since then he has upgraded to a seven barrel system and just hired an new head brewer. A call ahead of time would be best to get directions and make sure they are around. He currently working on a Barleywine and Cherry Quad.

Bert's Better Beers isn't far down the road from there so you could pick up some great NH craft beer or some Mead from Moonlight Meadery ( Michael Fairbrother's company ).

Other favorite NH breweries of mine - Smuttynose, Portsmouth Brewery, Moat Mountain, Woodstock Inn.

If you come up to NYC, first of all look us up.

If you make it our way Captain Larwrence is a quick train ride or about 45 minutes by car from NYC.
If you look us up we can swing by Sixpoint in Brooklyn, a small brewery that does not have tours but we could stop by, snoop around and say hello.
Of course the Brooklyn Brewery, they have a modest tour which is more of a lecture but a great beer hall type atmosphere with plenty of excelllent beers bars within walking distance: Mugs Ale House, Spuyten Duyvil, Bar Cade etc.

On Long Island there is Southampton, Bluepoint, Barrier, Greenport and Great South Bay who was featured on the Session a few months ago.
PM if you need any other information about the area.

Have fun.
Beer makes you smart, drinking is art.

New York City has a bunch of Breweries. Captain Lawrence, Six Point, and Brooklyn Brewery are all worth checking out.

There are some good breweries on eastern long island, but it sounds like you won't be heading that far out.

Also if you're heading down to Delaware, you'll probably be passing by Philly. Lots of good breweries there. Certainly check out Victory, Yards in the Philly area. There are a bunch of other good ones.

Not to mention that Philly seems like the only place to get Pliny on the East Coast.

NYC will be getting it as soon as the Eaily Biererra opens up. Of course, seeing how it's already 6 months behind schedule, I"m not holding my breath.

Yup, I'll be stopping off at a bottle shop or two while I'm gone to get some stuff that the south doesn't get!

If you head into Vermont I would highly recommend the Alchemist, but they don't serve food until after 4pm. Rock Art is about an hour North and Burlington is great for beer too.
