Repitching dry yeast.

Is it possible to repitch dry yeast? I have heard these yeasts are designed to be a single use yeast. Is there any data to back this up?

You can repitch dry yeast but since it costs like $3 for a packet it's not worth the possible sanitation issues of repitching. Just buy another packet and don't leave it to chance. If you're making a big beer just buy two.

It is cheaper to just use new yeast, but by repitching you may avoid some of the peachy flavors that you can get from some dry yeasts (us05, s04).

I've never done it, but I imagine it would be the same result as repitching a liquid yeast at that point. Do it and let us know how it turns out.

Repitching dry yeast is not a problem. Although, I would not repitch too much say around 1/2 cup or so depending on OG. You might want to add some yeast nutrient to help with the repitched ferment as well. I would not repitch more than once though as you are just asking for problems seeing as how cheap they really are.
