Any one ever make a chili pepper beer?

here's my award winning jalapeno ale

8 lb maris otter
11 oz crystal 40
10 oz oats
1/2 lb carapils
2 lb wheat
1 oz saaz at 60 min
1056 yeast
153 mash
64 ferment
5 jalapeno peppers cut into pieces and soaked in vodka for a week, strain and add vodka to secondary or keg
whoever says you can't get a head on a pepper beer needs to try this one
i could even send you one to try if you want.

I'd love to try it. How about a swap? I won't have anything ready for a couple months as I'm saving all my cash for an upcoming vacation. If you still have one around july I could swap you for what ever chili brew I decide on (I'm thinking of doing a brown ale with some dried chipolte in the secondary or the byo recipe ). The only thing I've got on tap right now is my dubble and I'm really not happy with it so unless you like fusal alcohol aftertaste you'd be better off swappin something later. Also I live in big sky country so if there was something you wanted from MT you can't get at home let me know.

You guys try Rogue's Chipotle Ale? I think it's on its way out (says discontinued at my local big beer store).

I really really liked it. The smoke from the chipotles was subtle but noticeable and the spice character really didn't hit you till about the 3rd gulp.

Yea it showed up the other day but I did'nt get to try it untill last night. That was some serious jalapeno flavor. The aroma was unbelievable it was like smelling a jar of salsa. The spice wasn't overpowering either, good heat but not overwhelming. Well done! Thanks.
