Sometimes the citrus feel in a good German Pils can be a lemon flavor. My last German Pils was so hoppy that it had a Lemon Pledge aroma and flavor (not that I ever tasted Lemon Pledge). I get some of that in the Noble Pils as well. I think that the extra late addition hops in the Nobel Pils give us that IPA like feel with a lemon zest.

All in all, It is nice.

Funny story.

We were out one night and saw this advertised on tap. My wife and I had one and my room mate (Bud Light Drinker) decided to give it a try. She really liked it, ended up getting one of her own. She proceeded to ask questions about beer and I kindly answered them. Later that night at the liquor store she picked up two more 12 packs of beers we recommended to her. She loved them both. Then ended up drinking the Noble Pils the next night..

This beer changed her...

I'll actually be interviewing her and her choices on an upcoming Mike's Brew Review.

I love this beer. It is great with hot wings!

I should give this another try. I was offered this, and took it, but wasn't really in the mood for a pilsner.

+1... Not since the original Boston Lager have I ever taken notice of them until this beer. Restrained hoppiness that doesn't overpower the pils character. Well done.

Had it today as a calibration beer for the competition our own MikeB ran. Great stuff!

I don't get the "5 Noble Hops" though.

What style was the beer used as a calibration for? German Pils?
