Strike water's at 120ish right now for Janet's brown. Rainy brew day in North Tx today. Hoping to be completely done with brew day and a baked ziti for dinner before USA v. America's hat Olympic hockey tonight at 6:30.

I hit 1.065 on Janet's brown, had an excellent brew day, the Ziti was phenomenal, and USA wins in the prelims.

What a wonderful day. I needed one of these.

Altbier going right now. Instead of kegging/bottling for NHC. One of these days I'll get stuff out of carboys...

Just mashed in my first AG batch (BooBoo's Mild recipe for the Community Brew). Strike water at 170F going into a 5gal Igloo drink cooler. Added 7.85lbs of 67F grain. Final mash temp at 156F just like the recipe says. Woohoo! Thank God and Brad Smith for BeerSmith. I'll keep you posted.

Just pitched the yeast for BCS Old McQuakers oatmeal stout.

Just pitched my yeast. OG was about 10 points too high after boil, so I had to add some water to bring it down. Wasn't prepared with pre-boiled. Guess I'll find out how clean my tap water is.
