That's a bummer!! Maybe we'll just have to get together with some other BNers and have a few drinks. I know that boobookittyfuk just moved to the Burgh a little while ago.

Sounds great...I will let you know when I am going to be in town....I will be staying in Irwin with Family...so I will be no more than 15 min from the city.

lions, tigers, and beer...oh my

sounds cool. I'll go so long as i don't forget about it.

I've been here for a week now and have to say that Pittsburgh is really nice. Lots of 'mom and pop' places with great food and usually with good beer. I live like 3 blocks away from schenly park in squirrel hill...i like it.

Yeah... Pittsburgh is nice for that "mom and pop" kind of feel. What makes it feel that way is that all of the surrounding little towns (Squirrel Hill, Greentree, Carnegie, Pointe Breeze) are so close to the city. It's great! Glad you like the Burgh.

nothing like finding an old post!

i was there. I had my brew strong shirt on.

I hope you weren't one of the homebrewers that were serving beer. Those dudes really need to take colin's advise on dumping crap beer down the drain and not sharing it. What a bad way to promote homebrewing by serving horible beer (note - i did not try all the homebrews there....but the 3-4 that i did try, I dumped because of major nastiness).

I too was there sporting the ole Hop Grenade... and I couldn't agree more about most of the homebrew that was there. I was REALLY disappointed. I was a bit disappointed by the entire event. The lines were HUGE just to get a beer because of the way that everyone had to follow the same path. Not sure I would do that one again - I mean, don't get me wrong, there was beer and people so I had fun, but I've been to better tasting events.
