Guys, don't worry about me. I'll drive myself. My gf wants to come with me cuz she doesn't want to be stuck in the hot apartment.

I'll take care of myself. Thanks for the offer though guys.

just because we needed a more complicated situation:

apparently Hale's, and any other food establishment (including brouwer's) has issues with splitting checks for groups, and has a mandatory 18% gratuity for groups over 6. so unless everyone brings cash, we might just have to meet there (so we don't confuse people even more) and then move on to Naked City or something. I told them this was probably a deal breaker, and she said they MIGHT be able to work something out. But it might be more trouble than it's worth. we could still grab a beer at the bar if it's not overly busy though

what a pain in the goddamn ass

I've never been there before. But do they have a bar you could just walk up to and pay cash for drinks?

edited: the manager just called me back and said they're going to get us on separate checks and we're all good. so the headache potential is now gone. that's a relief

Don't worry about it too much. For the most part, we're all going to get drinks and probably not eat much. We'll make it work.

I don't mind the Kilt lifter once in a while. I've been trying to drink as many of the beers that have been guests on the BN as a way of showing support. Laguanitas' pilsner is one of the few that I've enjoyed in a long time.
