Call ahead, they don't have a tasting room or restaurant, or anything like that. If you call they are morer than happy to show you around and let you taste though.

It can be done without traffic. Depending on the traffic leaving Santa Rosa, most of the rest of the drive should be OK unless traffic across SF is a mess.
