Both of the following aren't breweries but worth visiting if one gets the chance. They are perhaps two of the best multi-taps in the country and have a good selection of California micros amongst others.

O'Brien's

and

You guys are missing the most importain thing to see in California. The Woman! I tell my friends on the right coast that the myth about California girls is absolutly true! Those european/asian/latino chicks tear me up. Holy schit, can you tell I'm getting worked up?

Brewery, what brewery? I can worry about beer at home. Food? What's that? Five star hotels? A place to sleep.

California Girls rule. Say no more.

Anyone know the name of the tap room between Ghirardelli Square and Pier 37. Something on the order of 100 taps? I know I'd like to go back there as well.

I know which one you're talking about, just can't recall the name. Bar upstairs and downstairs. With plenty of taps as well as plenty of what Rich is talking about 8)

Thanks for the tips

Speak Easy rocked!

I also enjoyed a pint in SF Brewery, Rogue Public House (actually many there), 21st Amendment, and Thirstybear.

21st Amendment was fun, but mad busy due to the baseball games so enjoying it was a bit tough. No complaints with any of them.

I convinced anchor to let my wife in for the tour at a weeks notice even though they were full. I told them my wife and I would be in town for her birthday and I had promised her I would take her there. They were very nice and squeezed me in. I didnt tell them I only lived 30 miles away in Walnut Creek at the time. She loved the tour, it was her first one ever. She is a tiny woman who weighs 100 pounds. She had all the beers and 6 extra fog horns. By that time she was pretty drunk and went up to Mr maytag and asked for her birthday present. He gave her a steel anchor wheat plaque which I proudly hang in my home brewery.

Wow, that was really nice of him. I'll make sure to spread the good word about the company. Not that I will let everyone think that they will get gifts for their B-day, but that Mr. Maytag is one hell of a guy. Congrats on getting the tour, and happy B-day to your wife. :)

Prost!
