Anyway you look at it, it is piss poor management of handling orders for shirts and returning score sheets. Why offer to sell shirts and hats and charge shipping, take folks money, and then NOT ship the ordered items in a timely manner? Add to that removing all instances of "Who's On First" from the web site. No contact info for who is in charge or responsible is available. People have to go online to beer forums and club forums to ask "WTF is my score sheet?"
Sorry, I'm not buying any excuse, someone just dropped the ball and made it worse by not contacting people still waiting A MONTH LATER for their score sheets and/or what they ordered. I know it is a volunteer effort, but at least have the balls to list your name & phone number so folks can call and ask WTF is my stuff if you won't be proactive and contact them.
Here's the bottom line that the folks who run the Blewbonnet Brewoff need to consider. Ask folks these questions.
Will I ever send any entries to the Bluebonnet Brewoff again?
Will I remember how the Blewbonnet Brewoff screwed the pooch and then hid the responsible parties?
Will I bring up how the Blewbonnet Brewoff left folks hanging in the wind waiting for score sheets, shirts & hat without ANY official communication as to when they can expect them?
They need to consider those questions and the possible answers while someone gets off their ass and sends out those score sheets to EVERY person that entered. They should not even consider selling shirts and charging for shipping if they are not going to ship in a reasonable time frame. An last they better have some decent contact info like every other competition has.
/rant off.
