Great Divide Oak Aged Yeti Clone

Fri Jan 30, 2009 5:12 pm

I'm wondering if anyone has made a beer like this one. I have the recipe from 2006 BYO for the normal yeti imperial stout so my questions are if anyone has used this recipe, if so how did it turn out? If anyone else has a clone recipe for the oak aged version that would be cool to. I'm looking for an extract/partial mash recipe. Thanks in advance.

I have never brewed this beer but have often wanted to try. Yeti is one of my favorite Imperial Stouts. I have tried to get some insight from the brewer, but he is pretty tight lipped, he'll give you some vague hints but nothing to hang your hat on. I do know however that they are using chips for the oaking process and for a relatively short amount of time. Best of luck and let me know if you brew the BYO recipe.
