I just wanted to give a tip for a little trick I found. For partial boilers, put your top up water and ice into your bottling bucket and adjust within there OR When doing full boil, after the wort is cooled off, dump it into your bottling bucket and whirlpool for 10 minutes with lid on loosely. After 10 minutes, put your primary underneath the valve and open it. Let the wort fall into your primary and get aerated as it splashes around. Pitch your vial(s) or starter after 1.5 gallons have fallen into the primary. This saves you from shaking the hell out of it and hopefully is alot SAFER! I've been doing this since I can't afford to get an aquarium pump and stone. My fermentations haven't been stuck and I've done 2 lagers and several ales this way. Just another friendly tip. (I said tip)
Hope this helps out.
Cheers!Jeremy
